It’s the unofficial end of summer! The last long weekend to get out and enjoy all that this great spot we get to call home has to offer. The weather forecast looks great (for now!) and we wanted to share some of the fun things happening in our area:

 

Addison Oaks Labor Day Weekend in Leonard

 

Sept 1st – 4th: A summer finale of fun featuring bingo, tie-dying, magic show, inflatables, face painting, team games, arts and crafts, DJ dance, karaoke, wagon rides and a band.

Sept 2nd & 3rd: Featuring Paintings, Drawings, Sculpture, Woodworking, Glass Work, Metal Work, Jewelry, Candles, Crafts, Food Vendors, Music & more!

Detroit Jazz Festival

 

Sept 1st – 4th:

This annual fest spans four days, several city blocks and features hundreds of jazz performers making music that will make you want to swing, daddy-o.

Times are as follows:

  • 7 p.m. Friday-1:30 a.m. Saturday
  • 11:30 a.m. Saturday- 12:15 a.m. Sunday
  • 12:15 a.m. Sunday-12:15 a.m. Monday
  • 12:15 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday

Arts, Beats & Eats in Downtown Royal Oak

 

Sept 1st – 3rd: The 20th Annual Ford Arts, Beats & Eats presented by Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort takes place in Downtown Royal Oak. The festival offers more than 200 performances on nine stages, a highly ranked Juried Fine Arts Show, and local restaurants with some of the finest cuisine in Metro-Detroit. Each year international, regional and local attractions at the festival make the City of Royal Oak the premier destination for Labor Day weekend.
